Which superlatives, other than those already used in the press, can one use to describe the stallion Cidane: whirlwind, comet-like, unleashed, really fast, super sharp, like a ping-pong ball, great temperament.
The stallion completed the performance test on a total of 84 points. But what should one make of the 8.5 for aptitude as a jumping horse? And what of a promise for the future, as was written last year? The combination Kristian Houwen and the stallion Cidane won the GMB Stallion Competition with ease, twice. Placed 11th at the World Championships in Lanaken in 2012, with just one fault in the jump-off, he went one better in 2013: 3rd!. On the podium together with cousin Barnike (Baldwin x Animo x Garnike by Jasper); Cidan bronze, Barnike gold! In all other competitions he has either won or been placed. Here, there is no longer talk of a horse with talent or promise, but of a proven jumping horse for the real, top-notch work. Own performance, a true sports pedigree and a descendant of a proven sports family which has already produced a number of top jumping horses such as Audi's Reflection (Monaco) - Vincent Voorn, Barnike (Baldwin B) – Bertram Allen and full sister Warnike - Eric Lamaze, make Cidane a proven sire for the future already. His foals show much “blood”, are up to size and have legs as hard as nails.
