Ultimo van ter Moude is one of the last living sons of the legendary stallion Capitol I. Capitol I is, without a doubt, one of the most influential stallions in jumping-horse breeding. He produced more than 40 approved sons including the stallions Carthago, Caproil, Cento, Cassini, Clinton, Carolus II and Indoctro.
BWP-ambassador Major de la Cour also appears in Ultimo van ter Moude’s pedigree. This jumping stallion sired more than 30 Grand Prix horses. Examples of these include Franke Sloothaak’s Olympic Gold-winner Joli Coeur and Alison Firestone’s international show jumper Major.
Ultimo van ter Moude is a stallion with a tremendous amount of power and technique. He was successfully competed at Grand Prix-level by Todd Minikus where he showed time and again that he has a winner’s mentality and is excellent to ride. His offspring are performing very well. Quartz Rouge is one of his offspring, he competed in the European Championships in Aachen in 2015. But also the horses Rouge Pierreville (Edwin Smit), Ramona de Flobecq (André Thieme), Quecheu d’Emeraude (Luis Ferreira) and Soraya Rouge (Allan Pacha) compete on Grand Prix level.
Note: Only the covering of EU licensed stallions can be delivered outside the Netherlands.
